Rose Selaurum

Sophisticated Burgundy Elegance

The 'Selaurum' rose, developed by the Dutch house Piet Schreurs Holding, stands out as a reliable choice for gardeners who prioritize both visual impact and plant resilience. Unlike many traditional rose varieties that require constant maintenance, this hybrid is engineered with a high degree of natural immunity against common threats such as powdery mildew, rust, and various leaf spot diseases.

Key Specifications

• Bloom Characteristics: Featuring a deep burgundy hue, the blooms measure 7–10 cm in diameter and display a versatile structure that fluctuates between semi-double and double-form petals.
• Plant Habit: With a height of 60–80 cm and a width of 50–70 cm, the bush is compact and well-proportioned, making it suitable for both border planting and standalone containers.
• Seasonal Durability: This rose is winter-hardy down to -25°C, ensuring longevity in temperate climates. It provides continuous flowering from early summer through the autumn season.

Why Choose Selaurum?

The primary advantage of 'Selaurum' is its significantly higher disease resistance compared to similar commercial varieties in its class. This makes it an ideal candidate for low-input gardens. While the fragrance is intentionally kept light and subtle, the visual intensity of the dark, rich petals more than compensates for it. For those looking for a garden rose that remains healthy and vibrant throughout the entire growing season without the need for excessive chemical interventions, this Piet Schreurs Holding creation is a top-tier choice.
