Rose SCX 78961

The SCX 78961 rose cultivar features a medium-height bush recommended for protected ground cultivation, primarily for cut flowers. Young shoots are characterized by bright anthocyanin coloring and an abundance of reddish thorns. Leaves are large, green with a slight sheen and weak waviness at the edges, giving them a neat and healthy appearance.

The rose blooms have an irregularly round shape with transversely elliptical petals. The primary petal color is yellow, complemented by a purple-red secondary coloring, creating an effective and unusual look. The aroma is weak or almost absent, which may be an advantage for those who prefer less intense scents. The first flowering occurs about 10 weeks after planting, with subsequent blooms every 6-7 weeks, ensuring stable and prolonged flowering.

The cultivar is characterized by medium resistance to diseases and pests, but has poor drought resistance, requiring regular and sufficient watering. Cutting productivity is 240 to 280 blooms per square meter per year, making this rose a profitable choice for commercial cultivation. Bush longevity reaches five years with proper care.
