Winter rape variety Bachus is an early-maturing type with a vegetation period of 270-290 days, adapted to various levels of cultivation intensity. It is distinguished by high drought resistance and early grain filling, ensuring stable yield formation even under adverse climatic conditions. High winter hardiness allows successful cultivation in various regions, including the Forest Steppe, Polesie, and Steppe, as well as on poor soils. Plants reach a height of 110-130 cm and exhibit high resistance to lodging and unfavorable winter conditions. The Bachus variety is characterized by very high oil content in seeds — from 48.5% to 49.5% — making it particularly valuable for the oilseed industry. The 1000-seed mass varies from 4.9 to 6.2 grams, and glucosinolate content is within 0.8-0.85%, meeting high quality standards. Potential yield reaches 6.1 tons per hectare, confirming the variety's high productivity when agronomic recommendations are followed. For optimal cultivation, recommended row spacing is 15 cm, sowing depth 2-4 cm, and plant density should be maintained at 350-550 thousand per hectare at harvest time. Suitable preceding crops include winter pea, maize, winter wheat, and winter barley. The variety is suitable for conventional cultivation and requires seed storage at +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. Seed production is carried out in Germany, guaranteeing high quality planting material.
