ORK 13 is a winter rapeseed variety distinguished by high yield and excellent agronomic characteristics. In terms of performance, it surpasses many hybrids from well-known European breeding brands, achieving an average yield of 5.5 tons per hectare and a productivity potential of up to 60 centners per hectare. Rapeseed belongs to late-maturing varieties with excellent shattering resistance, ensuring crop preservation. The recommended sowing rate is 650-700 thousand viable seeds per hectare, with plants reaching a height of 138 cm. The weight of 1000 grains varies from 4.9 to 5.2 grams, oil content in seeds is 46.7%, while erucic acid content is low at 0.09%. The ORK 13 variety exhibits high disease resistance, particularly to various types of rots, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Polesie, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. For successful cultivation, early sowing is recommended, which promotes better overwintering and plant development. Due to its tolerance to environmental conditions, this variety is suitable for a wide range of agrotechnical conditions and can be successfully cultivated throughout Ukraine. ORK 13 rapeseed is widely used not only for producing high-quality oil, which is applied in the food industry, margarine production, as well as in metallurgy, soap making, leather, and textile industries, but also for feed purposes. The meal and cake obtained after seed processing are valuable concentrated animal feed containing about 32% protein and 9% fat. This makes the variety in demand in livestock farming and carp fishing, where rapeseed seeds are added to grain mixes to improve fish nutrition.
