The «Bartosh» rapeseed hybrid, developed by the renowned German breeding house Norddeutsche Pflanzenzucht Hans-Georg Lembke KG (NPZ), is a new addition to the State Register of Ukraine for 2025. Created using F1 technology, this hybrid is designed for professional oilseed production where yield stability in northern and central regions is paramount.

Morphological Traits and Development

Unlike many tall-growing varieties, «Bartosh» exhibits medium plant height during full flowering, which significantly simplifies harvesting and reduces the risk of lodging. The plant develops moderately green, medium-sized leaves with distinct serrated edges, indicating balanced vegetative growth. A key advantage is the absence of erucic acid in the seeds, making the product highly sought after for both food-grade oil production and high-quality feed additives.

Agronomic Profile

• Flowering Timing: Medium, allowing the hybrid to efficiently utilize spring moisture.
• Yield Structure: A short pod with a medium-length beak ensures high seed density, while the medium-length pedicel facilitates efficient threshing.
• Adaptability: Specifically adapted for the Polissya agro-climatic zone. It shows very weak or no tendency for premature inflorescence formation during spring sowing, ensuring uniform maturation across the entire field.
