Description PARADOX
Portulaca 'Paradox' is a one-year polyvitamin and medicinal herb, ideal for growing on balconies and window sills. The variety grows fast: only 20-30 days are required from sowing to technical maturity. Leaf height is 18-21 cm, mass of one plant is 70-80 g, and yield reaches 800-900 g/m².

Leaves have a round shape, dense structure and coloring from green to yellow-pink. They contain a rich set of vitamins and minerals, as well as antibacterial properties. Due to the high level of ascorbic acid, the greens have a light sourness and slightly burning taste, which makes it interesting in cooking.

Young shoots and the upper part of leaves are used for fresh polyvitamin salads, they can be pickled, pickled, stewed or boiled. Greens also fit perfectly as a spice for soups, sauces and meat dishes. For medical purposes portulaca is valued for healing properties and is recommended to diabetics.

For growing the plant prefers light and warm places; at negative temperatures it dies. Plant in balcony boxes after the end of the threat of frost, usually in May. Collection of leaves begins 2-3 weeks after sowing and continues until the beginning of flowering.
