COLKHIDA is a Georgian tea plant of the «Zolote Runo Kolkhidi» variety, which can only be grown as an indoor or greenhouse crop in Ukraine. For planting, slightly acidic soil is recommended, and the plant requires bright lighting: it is light-loving and grows best in a sunny location.
The plant grows up to 30 cm per year, and leaf height reaches approximately 50 cm by the end of the second year after planting – this is when tea leaves can be harvested. Colchida blooms twice a year: in summer and winter, releasing a pleasant aroma during flowering.
Care for the plant is simple: regular watering, feeding with organic fertilizers, pruning, and crown shaping help maintain health and decorative value. The plant is disease-resistant, but its roots can be treated with a clay slurry for additional protection if needed. Seedlings are typically 15–20 cm in size and 15–25 cm in height, making them convenient for both home and greenhouse cultivation.
