Sunflower NS KONSTANTIN is a mid-season hybrid developed in Serbia, possessing high genetic yield potential, capable of reaching over 5.5 tons per hectare. Plants are of medium height — from 160 to 180 cm, with large black seeds distinguished by high oil content within the range of 45-50%. This hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging, which helps maintain yield during mechanized harvesting.
One of the key features of NS KONSTANTIN is its high adaptability to various agro-climatic conditions, including forest-steppe, central and southern dry steppe. Thanks to its strong root system, sunflower demonstrates excellent drought resistance and plasticity, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in arid regions. Recommended for conventional cultivation methods, it ensures stable productivity even under challenging conditions.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew (Phytophthora) races A-F (according to some sources up to G), false powdery mildew, rust, fomopsis, as well as root and stem forms of sclerotinia. This comprehensive resistance allows minimizing yield losses and maintaining high seed quality. The high oil content in the seeds makes NS KONSTANTIN attractive to the oil industry and contributes to obtaining high-quality products.
