NS H 7256

Sunflower NS H 7256 is a new hybrid with record-high yield potential, developed by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad (Serbia). Plants of this hybrid reach a height of 160-180 cm and have a vegetation period of 105 to 118 days, placing them in the mid-early maturity group. The genetic yield potential exceeds 55 centners per hectare, and the oil content in the seeds is 48-50%, with a moisture content of 23-25%.

Hybrid NS H 7256 exhibits high resistance to various diseases and pests. It is tolerant to downy mildew (races A-F+), rust, sunflower moth, and pathogens Phomopsis, Macrophomina, and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. This resistance ensures stable yields and reduces the need for intensive chemical protection.

The hybrid is adapted to various agro-ecological conditions, allowing successful cultivation in forest-steppe, central, and southern steppe zones, with recommended seeding density ranging from 45,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare depending on the region. The 1000-seed mass varies from 60 to 77 grams, indicating high seed quality. Due to its characteristics, NS H 7256 is a promising choice for achieving high and stable sunflower yields.
