KWS Dragon

The KWS Dragon sunflower hybrid is an early-maturing simple hybrid with a vegetation period of 103-107 days and plant height ranging from 150 to 190 cm. The head is flat, with a diameter of 20-22 cm, and a semi-tilted position. Seeds are black, medium to large in size, available in standard and extra fractions. Oil content of the seeds varies from 48 to 52%, ensuring high oil quality. Protein content is 20-21%, facilitating processing.

The hybrid exhibits high yield and stability across various climatic zones in Ukraine. Yield potential reaches 47-50 ц/ha, while average yield from trials is around 39-44 ц/ha. Yield varies by region: in the Steppe zone — up to 4.1 т/ha, in the Forest-Steppe — from 2.9 to 4.4 т/ha, on the Polissia — about 4.1 т/ha. Recommended planting density is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare depending on the region.

KWS Dragon shows high resistance to major diseases and stress factors. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to fusarium, fusariosis, rust, powdery mildew, gray and white mold, as well as to all strains A-E of sunflower downy mildew. In addition, the plant is resistant to sunflower moth, lodging, shattering, and drought, making it a reliable choice for both traditional and express cultivation technologies, including treatment with the herbicide Granstar. Seeds are supplied in bags of 150,000 units, with various payment options available.
