Sunflower KWS KRIPTON

Stable performance in tough field conditions

Working with the KWS Krypton hybrid, you immediately notice the crop's reliability. This simple hybrid from KWS is designed for farmers who want to avoid the risks associated with unpredictable weather or heavy weed pressure. The ability to control problematic weeds with herbicides directly during the growing season significantly simplifies agrotechnology and saves time on inter-row cultivation.

Crop health: natural resistance against pathogens

In high humidity conditions, many hybrids start to succumb to head diseases, but KWS Krypton is different. It demonstrates impressive resistance to a complex of rots:

• White and gray head rot rarely progress, even in years with high disease pressure.
• Downy mildew is not a major issue thanks to the plant's built-in genetic protection.
• High tolerance to Phomopsis and Phoma means you don't have to spend extra money on additional fungicide passes across the field.

For an agronomist, this means peace of mind and predictable input costs. The plant is low-maintenance; it grows vigorously and fills the seeds effectively. Its root system is powerful, which is critical for regions with erratic moisture—the sunflower reliably pulls water from deep soil layers.

Harvesting without surprises

As for the harvest process itself: the stem is strong and does not lodge, allowing the combine to operate at an optimal speed without unnecessary header losses. The seeds are well-filled with consistently high oil content, which is crucial when delivering to the elevator. This is a practical tool for the farmer who values German breeding reliability and wants to achieve high-quality results without excessive efforts to rescue the crop from diseases.
