KS 348 ALS plants reach a height of 180–200 cm and feature a strong, well-branched root system, ensuring high drought tolerance and allowing cultivation in regions with adverse climatic conditions, including steppes and forest-steppes. The hybrid demonstrates high cold tolerance and resistance to lodging, shattering, and major diseases such as powdery mildew, sunflower moth, fomopsis, and rust.
The potential yield of KS 348 ALS ranges from 29 to 45 c/ha depending on growing conditions, with oil content in seeds varying from 43 to 52%. Seeds are black in color and weigh 60–75 g per 1000 seeds, indicating high-quality planting material.
