This variety was developed at the Siberian Institute of Horticulture in the mountainous region of Altai (Chemal village) by M.N. Matyunin through selection among seedlings from open-pollinated 'Krasnyy Shar' variety. Introduced into the State Register in 2004 for the West Siberian region.
Tree of medium height with a spherical crown. Main type of fruiting — clusters of branches. Bark of branches dark gray, peeling. Shoots straight, medium thickness, brown, bare, with numerous small lenticels. Leaves of medium size, inversely egg-shaped, light green, glossy. Leaf blade is curved like a boat, bent downward, with serrated-crenate edges. Main vein of leaf slightly hairy on underside. Petiole of medium length, dark red. Flowers white, cup-shaped, of medium size.
Fruits weighing up to 16.7 g, round. Stomach suture small, barely noticeable, pit of medium size. Fruit stalk of medium length, easily separates from fruits upon full ripening. Main fruit color yellow-orange, covering red. Flesh yellow-orange, juicy, fibrous, slightly sour-sweet, good taste. Pit of medium size, in pits, easily separates from flesh. Fruits contain up to 13.8% dry substances, sugars — up to 10.42%, acids — up to 1.12%, ascorbic acid — up to 9.0 mg/100g, P-active compounds — up to 430.0 mg/100g. Variety of universal use.
Winter hardiness of the tree and fruit buds is satisfactory. Not resistant to sunscald and drought, moderately resistant to moniliosis. Good yield. Self-sterile.
Advantages of the variety: dessert taste of fruits.
Disadvantages: not resistant to drought and sunscald.
