Description STEPHAN
The 'Stephan' peony is an interspecific hybrid created in 2014 and named after the historian Steven E. Ambrose. This variety is characterized by large, double flowers of a rich dark-red color with rounded protective petals. The flower diameter reaches 20 cm, making it particularly striking in the garden and as a cut flower. Its blooming period falls in the mid-season, allowing one to enjoy its beauty during the active flowering of peonies.

The stems of the 'Stephan' peony reach a height of about 80-81 cm and are distinguished by high strength and thickness, ensuring plant stability and ease of use for cut flowers. Typically, one large flower develops on each stem, though side buds may also appear, increasing the plant's decorative appeal. In some flowers, one can observe inner petals of ivory color with red veins or white veins on red petals, adding extra uniqueness and elegance to the flower.

This variety is a rare and valuable hybrid, popular among florists due to its beauty and reliability. The 'Stephan' peony not only adorns the garden but is also excellent for cut flowers, often used in floral compositions. Its strong stems and large double flowers make this variety a real find for peony enthusiasts.
