Peach CRIMEAN SONET

Focus on Sustainability and Efficiency

"Krymsky Sonet" is a strategic choice for growers looking to optimize orchard maintenance costs while maintaining premium fruit quality. Developed by the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, this variety exhibits rare natural resistance to common fungal pathogens. The primary advantage for modern farming: high tolerance to shot-hole disease (clasterosporium) and peach leaf curl significantly reduces the need for routine chemical fungicide applications.

Practical Performance in Commercial Orchards

• Resource Efficiency: The minimal requirement for spraying lowers production costs and facilitates easier certification for sustainable or "eco" product lines.
• Drought Tolerance: The variety thrives in arid climates, making it an excellent candidate for regions with water scarcity where other peach varieties would struggle without extensive irrigation.
• Management Ease: The medium-growth habit simplifies essential operations such as pruning, thinning, and mechanical or manual harvesting, effectively reducing labor overheads.

Marketability and Fruit Characteristics

The fruits, ranging from 120g to 150g, feature a classic round shape and an attractive yellow skin. For both fresh markets and processing, the variety offers excellent handling properties: the pit is easily separated, while the juicy, melt-in-the-mouth flesh delivers a sweet, aromatic profile. These traits ensure that "Krymsky Sonet" remains in high demand for retail chains, providing a consistent, high-quality yield that meets the standards of both consumers and processors.
