CRIMEAN SONET

The Crimean columnar peach is a high-yielding variety with a moderately spreading crown shape and medium growth vigor. This variety is characterized by an early maturity period, with harvestable ripeness beginning in the second or third decade of July. The fruits are of medium size, have a correct widely rounded shape, and feature a rich yellow color with a blurred burgundy blush covering most of the surface. The average fruit weight is 120-150 grams, the pit is small, and separates easily from the flesh. The flesh boasts an excellent taste with pronounced sweetness and slight acidity, as well as a bright aroma, confirmed by a high tasting score of 4.4 out of 5.

The Crimean variety exhibits high resistance to diseases such as leaf curling and clasterosporiosis, and demonstrates potential resistance to self-pollination. It features abundant fruiting, allowing for a harvest of up to 300 centners per hectare. Thanks to its self-fertility, the variety does not require additional pollination, although yield increases significantly when pollination is present. These qualities make the Crimean peach suitable for cultivation in private gardens as well as for commercial horticulture.
