Lidakta is a perennial grass with short rhizomes and short rhizomes, and abundant thin fibrous roots that form loose large bushes. Leaves are flat, widely linear, up to 6 mm long, covered with small cilia or bare areas; the leaf ligule is oval-shaped and notched. The panicle grows compressed from the sides, reaching 15 cm in length, containing several (3–5) flowers collected in dense clusters on long lower branches of the first order.
The appearance of the inflorescence is characterized by glumes and floral scales with short cilia, as well as an oval-lanceolate shape of anthers. Flowering occurs in June-July, after which fruits are formed, which can be used for seed propagation.
Lidakta seeds are used as a plant cover in agriculture: they help improve soil structure, prevent erosion, and create favorable conditions for the growth of other plants. Due to their perennial nature and resistance to various climatic conditions, this grass is a valuable component of the agro-landscape.
