Description Umka
Cucumber UMKA is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, and medium-growing with a female flowering type, ensuring the formation of predominantly one fruit per leaf axil. The cucumbers have a classic cylindrical shape, resembling cornichons, 11–13 cm long, 3.5–4 cm in diameter, and weighing 80–100 grams. Their surface is bright green, finely ribbed, with even mottling and a medium-density white down. The flesh is tender, crisp, free of voids and bitterness, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling.

The UMKA variety is characterized by high yield: in open ground, with multiple harvests, it reaches up to 13 kg per square meter, and in protected ground — up to 22 kg. The plant prefers warmth and moisture and exhibits good resistance to diseases. Thanks to its early maturity — approximately 42 days after mass germination — the cucumber is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The cucumbers are versatile in use, ideal for salads and winter preservation, and their flesh, primarily composed of water, effectively quenches thirst and supplies the body with potassium and dietary fiber.

UMKA is a first-generation hybrid developed by LLC "ZTEK AELITA" and recommended for cultivation in all regions. The plant produces attractive, marketable fruits with excellent transportability, making it appealing for both private and commercial cultivation. The average spacing between plants is about 30 cm, which promotes optimal growth and fruiting of the crop.
