Cucumber Oboltus F1 is a medium-early, self-pollinating, high-yielding parthenocarpic hybrid of exclusively female flowering type, intended for cultivation in open ground and plastic greenhouses. The plant has a weakly branched indeterminate type with moderate lateral branch growth, facilitating care and bush formation. The hybrid is resistant to true and false powdery mildew and tolerant to sharp temperature fluctuations, enabling consistent yield and fruit quality under various climatic conditions.
The fruits of cucumber Oboltus F1 are cylindrical, moderately ribbed with medium-density bumps and green color. The zucchini are firm, crisp, and free of bitterness, weighing 60–80 grams, 10–12 cm long, and 3.2–3.8 cm in diameter, with characteristic brownish bumps. Due to their excellent taste qualities, the cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and pickling, making the hybrid versatile in use.
For successful cultivation, use fertile, medium-loam, well-aerated soils. Good predecessors include potato, onion, cabbage, and pepper. Sow seeds at a depth of 1.5–2 cm at soil temperature around 25°C, then reduce to 20°C. Transplant seedlings after frost threat, when air temperature exceeds 15°C and soil temperature exceeds 13°C. Planting density is 3–4 plants per 1 m². To ensure proper plant development, pinch off lower fruiting nodes and lateral branches, and guide stems onto trellises. Regular watering and fertilization with "AELITA-VEGETABLE" are recommended. Yield reaches 13 kg/m² in open ground and up to 22 kg/m² in greenhouses, with fruiting beginning 49–55 days after mass emergence.
