Miranda

Miranda cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid characterized by high yield and stable productivity. The fruit ripens in 40-45 days, allowing for early harvest. The plant is strong-growing, indeterminate with strong branching, predominantly female flowering, and forms 6-7 fruits per node under adequate nutrition. Leaves are medium-sized, green, and smooth, promoting good photosynthesis and plant development.

Miranda cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 11-12 cm long and about 4 cm in diameter, weighing 100-110 g each. They are dark green with white stripes, slightly ribbed and large-bumpy, with sparse bumps and white spines. The flesh is crisp, juicy, and flavorful without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption and processing. The hybrid is especially suitable for producing gherkins.

Miranda is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and root rot. It is recommended for cultivation under various conditions: in plastic and glass greenhouses, as well as in open ground using vertical and horizontal cultivation methods. To achieve maximum yield, regular applications of mineral and organic fertilizers, along with daily watering with settled water, are required. This hybrid is versatile and suitable for cultivation in various regions.
