Mertus F1

Cucumber Mertus F1 — a medium-fruited, self-pollinating hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan, intended for cultivation in protected environments, primarily in polyethylene and glass greenhouses during the late summer to autumn crop cycle. The plant exhibits high and stable yield with a prolonged fruiting period of approximately 40-42 days. This hybrid possesses high resistance to stress and numerous diseases, making it a reliable choice for greenhouse cultivation.

Fruits of Mertus F1 have a cylindrical shape, dark green color, length of about 18-22 cm, and weight of 200-220 grams. The skin is smooth and glossy, while the flesh is juicy and free of bitterness, ensuring excellent taste qualities. Due to these characteristics, the cucumber is ideal for fresh consumption and salad preparation.

The hybrid is grown using seedling cultivation, with seeds germinating at temperatures no lower than +12-+13 degrees Celsius.
