Cucumber Derby F1 is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, intended for cultivation in open fields and polyethylene greenhouses, especially in late spring and summer rotations. The plant features a powerful root system and high regenerative capacity, ensuring its resilience to stressful conditions such as high temperatures and temperature fluctuations. Derby F1 tolerates air drought well and exhibits uniform yield, forming predominantly 1-2 fruits in leaf axils, and occasionally up to 4-5 buds. Leaves are small and green; the plant is indeterminate and weakly branched, with predominantly female flowering.

The fruits of cucumber Derby have a cylindrical or spindle shape, 10-13 cm long, with a length-to-diameter ratio of approximately 3-3.1 to 1. They are characterized by an attractive dark green color without white stripes at the tip, dense structure, and a bumpy surface with medium-density white pubescence. The weight of one fruit is 60-80 grams. Due to their high density and excellent transportability, cucumbers are suitable for both fresh consumption and pickling or salting.

Hybrid Derby F1 is characterized by high commercial quality and good taste, making it popular for both salad and preservation uses. The commercial yield reaches 11-13 kg per square meter, confirming its effectiveness for professional cultivation. Seeds are produced by Gavriš and supplied in packs of 1000 seeds, which is convenient for farmers and agrarians.
