Description Bettina
Bettina F1 is a high-yielding, ultra-early, self-pollinating hybrid of the cornichon type, suitable for cultivation in glass and plastic greenhouses, as well as in open ground. The ripening period is 38-42 days, allowing for an early harvest during the winter-spring period. Plants are of medium growth strength, indeterminate, with compact form and balanced generative type, forming the main mass of fruits on the central stem. Recommended planting density is 2.8-3.5 plants per square meter, with minimal bush formation — suckers should be left on 1-3 leaves, removing excessive generative shoots.

The fruits of Bettina cucumber have a cylindrical shape with large bumps, dark green skin with short white stripes, and an average length of about 11 cm. The weight of one fruit reaches 60-80 grams. The flesh is tender, juicy, free of bitterness and hollows, making this variety ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and salting. The cucumbers are highly marketable and highly transportable, retaining their quality even during the second vegetative period.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, downy mildew, and common cucumber mosaic virus. It tolerates low light and low temperatures well, quickly recovering from stressful conditions. For maximum productivity, ensure adequate watering and nitrogen and potassium fertilizer applications. Bettina F1 is a universal variety combining early maturity, high yield, and excellent taste qualities.
