Cucumber "Babushkin Secret" is a parthenocarpic hybrid capable of fruiting without pollination. This variety features a prolonged fruiting period from July to September and high yield, reaching 12.5–14.5 kg per square meter. The plant is low-maintenance, tolerates sharp temperature fluctuations and transportation, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary film cover.
The fruits are cylindrical, with large bumps and dark green color, weighing 80–105 grams. They have a sweet taste without bitterness and white fuzz. Due to their excellent flavor and attractive appearance, these cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for canning. High yield and fruit quality make this variety popular not only for personal use but also for commercial cultivation.
Growing periods include sowing seeds for seedlings at the end of April, followed by transplanting into the ground at the end of May to early June. The variety is resistant to such diseases as cucumber mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and powdery mildew, and also exhibits drought and cold tolerance. These traits ensure a stable yield even under unfavorable climatic conditions.
