Cucumber RM — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, intended for cultivation in open fields, tunnels, and spring greenhouses. The plant is determinate with a cluster, or 'bouquet', arrangement of fruiting nodes, enabling 2 to 5 fruits per node. As a result, up to 20-30 cucumbers can simultaneously ripen on one plant, contributing to high yield and prolonged mass fruiting. RM is distinguished by early, uniform fruiting and heat tolerance, which is especially important in dry summers, when the plant reliably ensures a large volume of tasty and crisp fruits. Cucumber RM fruits have an oval-cylindrical shape, 11-16 cm in length, and weigh between 60 to 140 g depending on their position on the plant. The cucumbers are dark green with a bumpy surface and a white-hairy structure, often with short stripes and moderate pubescence. They are characterized by high crispness, aroma, and universal use — suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. The fruits retain their market quality for up to 10 days under non-controlled conditions, making them convenient for storage and transportation. Hybrid RM is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including true and false powdery mildew, root rot, and also exhibits drought tolerance. This allows cultivation in various climatic conditions, including Northern, Northwestern, and Central regions. The plant has weak branching and is suitable for cultivation both in open fields and under temporary film cover or in film greenhouses. For maximum yield, it is recommended to regularly harvest cucumbers, as this stimulates the growth of new fruiting nodes and increases overall yield.
