Alshany

Alshany F1 cucumber — an early parthenocarpic hybrid of Dutch selection by Bejo Zaden, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The vegetative period is 38–45 days after emergence, allowing for early harvest. The plant features a strong root system, vigorous growth, and adaptability, ensuring successful development even under insufficient sunlight and low temperatures. The hybrid is especially well-suited for cultivation in polyethylene and glass greenhouses, as well as in open beds using trellising or support, which promotes maximum yield.

The fruits of Alshany F1 cucumber are cylindrical with a well-rounded tip, 9–11 cm long, and a length-to-diameter ratio of 3.2:1. The skin is dark green, ribbed, and the flesh is juicy, crisp, and uniform, without voids or bitterness. Each node produces 2–4 marketable cucumbers with a small seed cavity, making them ideal for fresh consumption and canning. The yield is highly marketable, retaining flavor and attractive appearance after harvest and transport.

The hybrid exhibits resistance to major cucumber diseases such as powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, and mosaic virus, significantly reducing cultivation risks. Alshany F1 cucumber seeds are supplied in packs of 250 and 1000 seeds and are recommended for pre-sowing in trays or cups for seedlings, followed by transplanting to the final location before flowering. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this variety is suitable for year-round cultivation using various agronomic techniques.
