Amarok

Amarok F1 cucumber is an early, high-yielding parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, developed by the Dutch seed company Bejo Zaden. This self-pollinating variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover throughout Ukraine. The fruits reach a length of 10-12 cm, have a large-bump, dark green skin without stripes and a white tip, giving them an attractive market appearance. The fruit length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3-3.1:1, and the fruit weight reaches up to 100 grams. The maturity period varies from 40 to 50 days, allowing for a relatively quick harvest. Amarok F1 plants are characterized by strong leaf mass and high growth energy with short internodes, promoting good development and high yield. The hybrid shows resistance to various stress conditions, including water shortage and high temperatures, as well as resistance to downy mildew and several diseases and viruses. Due to these qualities, the cucumber recovers well after extreme conditions and maintains a stable yield. Amarok F1 fruits have excellent taste qualities: they are crisp, free of bitterness, with a small seed cavity and no voids. This makes them versatile for use both fresh and for processing, including pickling and canning. High transportability and attractive appearance make this hybrid an excellent choice for fresh market sales. Amarok F1 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and seasonal rotations, ensuring flexibility and reliability in agronomy.
