Dried mycelium of the mushroom "Almond Mushroom"
Almond mushroom — an edible delicacy, used for preparing a wide range of dishes. Young mushrooms have the best flavor. Since mushrooms contain no sugar or fat, they can be consumed without problems by diabetics. Grows: on fertile soils in mixed forests, as well as in gardens and vegetable patches.
Cap: 5-20 cm in diameter, spherical in young specimens, later flat-convex or even fully flattened; dry, smooth, yellowish-white in color, turning yellow in damaged areas. Stipe: up to 15 cm long, thin, cylindrical, with a characteristic bend at the base; grayish in color, fibrous, hollow inside. Ring: membranous, located very high; thin, wide, and fibrous. Flesh: white, very pleasant in taste, with a bitter almond aroma.
Primarily grows in dense mixed forests with a lower vegetation layer consisting of blueberries and sorrel. Most often, the mushroom is found under spruce needles.
