Breeding Excellence from ZNU

The ornamental flax variety 'Vohnyk' is a signature achievement of the Zaporizhzhia National University breeding program. Unlike industrial oilseed flax, this variety is developed specifically for landscape design, establishing a solid reputation in the Ukrainian market as a reliable and predictable choice for ornamental gardening.

Technical Specifications and Application

Standing at a height of 50 cm, 'Vohnyk' is perfectly tailored for front-border planting, rock gardens, and floral arrangements. Its key characteristics include:

• Compact Growth Habit: The plant maintains a sturdy, upright posture without the need for staking, making it ideal for wind-exposed areas.
• Climate Adaptation: Developed locally, it shows excellent resilience across various soil types and weather conditions in Ukraine.
• Ornamental Value: The variety provides a sustained, abundant display, fitting seamlessly into both modern and traditional garden designs.

The market value of 'Vohnyk' lies in its local provenance.
