Flax ALEXIM

Operational advantages of Alexim flax

Alexim, developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Bast Fiber Crops, stands out as a reliable dual-purpose flax-fiber variety. For an operator, this means not having to choose between seed oil production and fiber quality, as the variety is balanced for both.

Field performance and maintenance

In terms of field logistics, Alexim is highly manageable. One of the main challenges during harvest is the uniformity of the crop. Alexim performs well here; the crop is consistent in height, which allows the harvester to operate smoothly without header blockages or excessive losses at the cutter bar.

• Harvest efficiency: Its resistance to lodging is a major advantage. Even in adverse weather conditions, the plants stay upright, ensuring that equipment can cover the field without unnecessary downtime.
• Maintenance and care: The variety does not require exotic crop management techniques. Standard grain and industrial crop equipment are fully compatible with Alexim, meaning no extra investment in hardware is needed.

Managing these crops is straightforward. By sticking to standard agronomic practices and focusing on optimal harvest timing, you ensure that the raw material meets the requirements of both oil refineries and textile manufacturers. It is a robust option for those who prioritize operational simplicity and yield stability over the year.
