Flax Peresvet

The flax variety 'Peresvet' is an early-maturing crop developed through interspecific hybridization. It is intended for the production of flax fiber and is characterized by a medium seed weight, long stems, and the absence or very weak spotting of the sepals. The petal color at the bud stage is blue-violet, turning blue upon full development, while the stigma at the base has a blue tint. The capsule of the variety is small, lacks fringed false partitions, and the seeds are brown.

The agronomy of cultivating this variety includes processing stubble with herbicides, autumn plowing, harrowing, cultivation, and rolling. The optimal sowing rate is 22 million seeds per hectare. Straw yield reaches 6.2-6.4 tons per hectare, seeds about 1 ton, and fiber over 2 tons per hectare. The variety is distinguished by its resistance to diseases and lodging, ensuring its good adaptability to the natural-climatic conditions of the growing regions.

'Peresvet' is a reliable choice for producing high-quality flax fiber due to its agronomic characteristics and high yield. Its resistance to adverse factors and optimal growth indicators make this variety in demand among flax producers.
