Meldon

Megalodon — a late-maturing super-sweet hybrid of sweet corn type SH2, intended for fresh market and industrial processing. The plant forms 1-2 cylindrical-conical ears 22-25 cm long with large yellow kernels having high sugar content — about 22%. The vegetative period of the hybrid is 82-86 days, enabling reliable harvests at late maturation stages.

The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to low temperatures, making it especially valuable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. A strong root system and sturdy stalk provide good plant resilience and contribute to high yields. Megalodon is suitable for cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine, demonstrating stable performance in different regions.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to maintain spatial isolation from grain and sweet corn types SU and SE at least 300 meters, preventing undesirable cross-pollination and preserving hybrid purity. Megalodon is an excellent choice for farmers aiming to produce high-quality products with high sugar content and large kernels.
