Description Brigadir
Brigadier beet is one of the most productive and in-demand varieties for feeding agricultural animals. This polyploid Barre-type variety is characterized by orange-colored roots and can yield up to 1,500-1,800 centners per hectare. The roots are large and smooth, which facilitates harvesting both manually and mechanically. High dry matter content (12-14%) and excellent taste qualities make this variety particularly valuable for feeding purposes. Additionally, Brigadier forms few stalks, which contributes to preserving the quality of the harvest.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and bolting, as well as drought tolerance, allowing it to be grown on various soil types, except acidic ones. The green and succulent leaf mass remains fresh until harvest, providing additional nutritional value to the feed. Thanks to its high storability and good storage qualities, the harvest can be preserved for a long time without loss of quality.

Sowing seeds is recommended early in spring at a soil temperature of 5-6°C, planting seeds at a depth of 2-3 cm with a spacing of 10-15 cm between plants in rows and 45-60 cm between rows. Crop care includes regular weeding, loosening, watering, and fertilization. Harvesting is typically conducted at the end of September to the beginning of October, allowing for maximum productivity and quality of the roots.
