Aurora potato is a high-yielding table variety with a medium maturity period, with a vegetation period of approximately 100–110 days. The tubers have an oval shape, cream or white flesh color, and medium size, with a single tuber weighing between 93 to 128 grams. This variety is characterized by high marketability — from 80 to 93%, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. Aurora exhibits resistance to diseases such as potato late blight and golden potato nematode, as well as certain viruses, which contributes to stable yields and quality.

Aurora plants are semi-erect with large bushes that effectively utilize natural heat and light. When reaching great height, stems may lean, so systematic hilling is recommended to maintain plant health. At least 15 tubers form under each plant, ensuring high productivity — up to 214–396 centners per hectare or about 30 tons of tubers. The variety is well-adapted for cultivation in various regions, including Northwestern and Central.

Aurora potato is ideal for preparing diverse dishes and salads due to its tubers containing approximately 15% starch. In addition to high yield and disease resistance, the variety has good storability and consistent taste qualities, making it popular among both farmers and consumers.
