Description Elizaveta
The potato variety Elizaveta is a medium-early table variety developed by specialists of the Leningrad Research Institute of Agriculture. This 7-way hybrid features a compact, upright plant of medium height with a white flower. The tubers are large, round, with smooth white skin and small, almost imperceptible eyes, making peeling easier. The flesh is white and does not darken when cut, making this potato attractive to consumers.

The Elizaveta variety is characterized by high yield — on average, 290 to 400 centners per hectare, which is 39–76 centners higher than the standard Nevsky. The maximum yield was recorded in the Pskov region and amounted to 445 centners per hectare. The marketable tuber weight ranges from 83 to 143 grams, and starch content is within 12.0–18.4%, matching the Nevsky standard. The taste is good, marketability reaches 79–96%, and storability is 93%, ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.

The variety is resistant to potato scab and nematodes, as well as to viruses A and Y. However, it has moderate susceptibility to late blight; during epidemics, it may be affected more severely, although tubers suffer only slightly. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the Elizaveta variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Northwest and Central regions.
