Description Prestige
The potato variety PRESTIGE is a mid-season table variety of Russian selection, featuring oval-round, yellow-fleshed tubers. The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 95 days. Tubers have a medium weight of 98 to 156 grams and form 10–12 per plant. Starch content varies from 12.6% to 16.8%, making this variety versatile for various culinary uses: boiling, frying, baking, and making crispy potatoes. Yield is high, ranging from 233 to 329 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 374 centners. Tubers have 95% storability, ensuring good storage.

The PRESTIGE variety is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer, crinkly mosaic, leaf curl, and late blight of foliage and tubers. However, it is susceptible to infection by golden cyst nematode. Preferred growing regions are the Central and Central Chernozem regions of Russia.

To protect PRESTIGE potato from pests and diseases, the compound insecticide and fungicide 'Prestige' (based on imidacloprid and penconazole) is widely used. It is applied both for pre-planting tuber treatment and for protecting young plants during early growth stages. It effectively combats soil pests such as May beetle larvae and wireworms, as well as chewing and sucking insects including Colorado potato beetle, caterpillars, leafrollers, cicadas, potato moth, and aphids. The fungicidal action protects potatoes from scab and rizoctonia, contributing to plant health and increased yield.
