Cabbage variety Zacapa is a late hybrid of white cabbage with a maturity period of about 140 days from transplanting. This hybrid features large, round heads weighing from 2.5 to 4.5 kg, with bright green leaves covered in a strong waxy coating, giving them an attractive market appearance. The inner part of the heads is snow-white, and the flavor is tender, making the cabbage suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, such as salads.

Zacapa cabbage is primarily grown in open ground but can also be successfully cultivated under cover. It exhibits high resistance to common cabbage diseases such as vascular bacterial blight, alternaria, and thrips, as well as tolerance to stressful conditions, including night frosts and high temperatures. Thanks to its robust leaf surface and good regenerative capacity after extreme conditions, this hybrid ensures a stable and high-quality harvest.

One of the key advantages of this variety is its high transportability and long storage life—up to 6 months—which makes it popular in fresh markets and convenient for long-term storage. The recommended planting density is 30-40 thousand plants per hectare. Zacapa cabbage is suitable for early spring cultivation and is an excellent choice for retail outlets such as hypermarkets, thanks to its flavor and attractive appearance.
