Redguard

Redguard F1 late-maturing hybrid cabbage, developed by the French seed company Clause. This variety requires 130 to 145 days to fully form heads and can be grown both outdoors and in greenhouses, primarily by seedlings. Its strong root system enables adaptation to various soils and climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in Ukraine. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and resistance to various diseases, including fusarium wilt and thrips infestation, as well as resistance to internal rot and stress conditions. Redguard F1 heads are oval-round in shape with a bright red color, averaging 2.5 to 3 kilograms per head. Leaves are tightly packed, forming a dense head with a short and slender core, ensuring high density and excellent transportability without loss of appearance. The rosette is oriented upwards, which helps protect the harvest during harvesting. The cabbage has a pleasant sweet taste and crisp texture, making it ideal for fresh consumption as well as culinary processing, including pickling and thermal treatment. Redguard F1 exhibits uniform head maturity and long-term storage potential, both in the field and after harvest, maintaining vibrant color and freshness of heads. The recommended planting density is 30-40 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring high yield of marketable produce. Due to its consumer qualities and resistance to adverse factors, this variety is suitable for both industrial processing and fresh market sales, ensuring a steady and high-quality harvest.
