Raoul F1 Hybrid Cauliflower — a mid-season hybrid developed by the Dutch seed company Hazera, intended for cultivation in open fields. The plant is characterized by high resistance to temperature fluctuations, frost, and drought, making it especially valuable for extreme and stressful growing conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 90-100 days from transplanting seedlings, allowing harvest during the late summer and autumn periods. The cauliflower is not demanding regarding soil, except for acidic soils, and demonstrates stable yields of up to 35 tons per hectare at the recommended planting density of 25-30 thousand plants per hectare.
Raoul F1 plants have a strong root system and a robust leafy canopy, which reliably covers the heads, protecting them from ultraviolet rays and preventing sunburn. The heads are round, dense, and compact, retaining their white color throughout the maturation period due to the good self-shading ability of the leaves. Head weight ranges from 2 to 3 kilograms. The leaves are narrow, upright, blue-green in color with wavy edges, giving the plant an attractive appearance.
Raoul F1 cauliflower is distinguished by high marketable yield and resistance to cracking, ensuring good transportability and crop preservation. It is widely used both for fresh consumption and for industrial processing, including freezing. Due to its flavor qualities and versatility, this hybrid is in demand in fresh markets and is an excellent choice for farmers aiming to achieve quality and stable yields.
