Cauliflower variety Trevi is an original hybrid with round, compact green heads that retain their color even after thermal processing. This variety is distinguished by a mild aroma blending notes of broccoli and classic cauliflower, imparting a refined quality to dishes. The average head weight ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 kg, and the maturation period varies from 85 to 90 days, making Trevi an optimal choice for autumn harvest.
Trevi is a low-calorie, easily digestible vegetable, rich in fiber, protein, vitamins C, A, B1 and B2, as well as calcium and iron. Due to its nutritional properties and absence of allergenic reactions, it is especially recommended for children's, elderly, and therapeutic diets. Cauliflower heads are suitable for both immediate consumption and freezing, allowing their beneficial properties to be preserved for a long time.
For successful cultivation of the Trevi variety, seeds should be sown in pots or trays from April to May, and then transplanted into open ground from June to early July, spaced 40x50 cm apart. The plant prefers sunny locations with fertile, moist, well-drained soils rich in humus and minerals with neutral pH. During head formation, it is recommended to shield the heads from direct sunlight by tying leaves over them to fully cover the head, which helps maintain its quality and flavor.
