Cyclone F1 cabbage is a mid-early hybrid of white cabbage developed by the Dutch seed company Bejo Zaden. This variety features a robust plant with an elevated rosette of leaves, up to 60 cm in diameter and 60 cm in height. The heads are round-oval in shape, have a dense internal structure, and are medium to large in size, weighing from 2.6 to 3.7 kg. The outer surface of the heads is light green, while the interior is snowy white, giving them an attractive market appearance. The cabbage has tender flavor qualities that are preserved and even improved during storage, and it withstands thermal processing well, making it versatile for fresh consumption, pickling, and cooking various dishes. The Cyclone F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and bacterial diseases, and it is tolerant to thrips. The plant is adapted to extreme conditions, capable of enduring temperature fluctuations, frost, water deficiency, and high temperatures. Thanks to these qualities, the cabbage is suitable for cultivation both in open fields and in greenhouses, including early spring plantings. The recommended planting density is 35,000 to 40,000 plants per hectare, enabling effective organization of high-quality product conveyor sales. One of the key advantages of this variety is its long storage period — 5 to 8 months — during which the cabbage retains its juiciness, flavor, and nutritional properties. Yield reaches 8–10 kg per square meter, ensuring high output of marketable product. Cyclone F1 cabbage has good transportability and does not crack, making it an excellent choice for fresh markets and processing, including salad production. This hybrid is ideal for cultivation on supermarket shelves and for fresh sale, thanks to its combination of high marketability, disease resistance, and superior flavor.
