The Iris «Giraffik» is one of the most striking representatives of tall bearded irises. It is a medium-height, upright plant with long green leaves of medium width and thickness. The flower is six-petaled, two-toned, of medium size, and opens early in the season.
The outer perianth of «Giraffik» has an inverted egg-shaped form, wide and slightly ruffled. It is painted in dark-cherry color with grayish-red shoulders and a pattern resembling veins. The inner perianth points upward, light-yellow, with a blurred cream central vein. The beard is of medium length and width, colored in dark-orange or brick color with a slightly messy appearance; its base is bright orange-yellow, and the tip is shiny orange-yellow.
The variety is distinguished by good resistance to diseases and pests, as well as winter hardiness. Flowering lasts about 10 days, making it attractive for garden compositions and decorative greening. Thanks to the variegated coloring of the lower lobes (falls) – a combination of brown, yellow, and cream spots – and the terracotta shade of the upper lobes, the Iris «Giraffik» attracts attention with its bright and original appearance.
