BIYSKIYE PEREKATY

Iris «Biyskiye Perekaty» – a perennial plant from the iris group, distinguished by its bright blue flower with a white beard and cold hardiness. The bush reaches a height of 80 to 90 cm, while the flower itself has a diameter of about 11 cm and a height of approximately 8 cm. The inner petals of the saucer-shaped flower are dyed in a rich blue, while the outer ones are dark blue with veins, giving it an expressive look.

The plant has long, narrow leaves, from 30 to 80 cm in length and 1–1.2 cm in width. The flower stalks are sturdy and can hold two flowers each, usually in a quantity of 20–25 per bush. Flowering begins at the end of June – beginning of July, and the flowering period lasts from 10 to 15 days. The plant tolerates winter conditions well and can be propagated vegetatively.

Growing «Biyskiye Perekaty» requires moderate light; the plant prefers open areas with good illumination but not direct sunlight. The packaging is usually supplied in pots with a volume of 1 liter, which is convenient for planting and subsequent care. Thanks to its decorativeness and cold hardiness, this iris will be a bright accent both in the garden and in container compositions.
