Perle Bel

Perle (Perle) hop — a versatile dual-purpose variety developed in 1978 by the German Hop Research Institute based on the Northern Brewer variety. It features a clean and effective bitterness with alpha-acid content ranging from 6.0% to 10.0%. Perle has a mild, slightly spicy character with subtle notes of herbs and mint, giving the beverage a balanced and pleasant aroma. Due to its low cohumulone content, this hop is suitable for creating beer with a clean and mild flavor.

Granulated Perle hop offers convenience in storage and use. To produce granules, the cones are dried, ground, and pressed through a special mold, preserving natural resins without the use of chemical binders. This form is more compact than whole leaf hops and allows retaining valuable properties and aromatic qualities for up to three years if stored in hermetically sealed vacuum packaging.

Perle is widely used at all stages of brewing and suits various beer styles, including pale lager, Pilsner, amber, and dark lager. This hop adds German quality to beer, providing balanced bitterness and a fresh, moderate aroma that harmoniously complements classic lager varieties.
