Stilet — systemic post-emergence herbicide for the eradication of annual and perennial grass weeds in sugar beet, sunflower, soybean, and rape crops. Active ingredient: Clethodim, 120 g/L
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Packaging: 5L plastic drums
Mode of action:
Clethodim has systemic properties. The active ingredient penetrates the plant, concentrates in growth points, and blocks lipid biosynthesis. Clethodim irreversibly deactivates the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is vital for grass weeds. The product destroys both above-ground and underground (root) parts of grasses, preventing regrowth of perennial species.
Due to its selectivity, the product does not cause phytotoxicity in dicotyledonous crop plants on which it is recommended for use.
The effect of the product on grass weeds becomes apparent on days 3–5, and plant death occurs 7–21 days after application.
Spectrum of action of Stilet, EC:
• The product controls more than 40 species of annual and perennial grass weeds. These include common couch grass, common knotgrass, wild oats (wheatgrass), mixed crabgrass, bristlegrass, smooth crabgrass, small goosegrass, mouse barley, perennial darnel, creeping thistle, leafy goosegrass, various types of foxtail, bromus, mouse grass, and chickweed.
Herbicide Stilet, EC is applied to the following crops:
Crop Weeds Recommended dosage, L/ha Application method and timing Time for workers to return to treated areas
Sugar beets, rape, soybean, sunflower Annual grasses 0.4–0.8 Spraying crops at the 2–6 leaf stage of weeds (regardless of crop development stage) Mechanical work — 3 days, manual work — 7 days
Perennial grasses 1.4–1.8 Spraying crops when weed height is 10–20 cm (regardless of crop development stage)
The product is applied only once.
Main advantages of using herbicide Stilet, EC:
• The product exhibits high herbicidal efficiency in combating annual and perennial grass weeds and crop weed infestations;
• The herbicide does not damage dicotyledonous plants. It can be used in sugar beet, sunflower, soybean, and rape crops regardless of the developmental stage of the crop plants;
• Due to its excellent formulation, the active ingredient remains firmly on the plant surface and is well absorbed by weed leaves;
• The use of the herbicide simultaneously achieves high levels of grass weed control, eliminating the need for manual weeding;
• Application of the product in combination with other weed control agents allows for the elimination of soil-applied herbicides in sugar beet and sunflower cultivation technologies.
