Selective post-emergence herbicide for the destruction of annual and perennial root-seeding dicotyledonous weeds, including those resistant to 2,4-D
Active ingredient: Cloquaril, 700 g/l
Formulation: Water-soluble granules
Application spectrum: Wheat, oats, rapeseed, corn, sugar beet
Main advantages
"Lukar" is one of the most effective post-emergence herbicides for controlling persistent, including overgrown root-seeding weeds in cereal and rapeseed crops
Particularly effective against weeds belonging to the Asteraceae, Boraginaceae, Solanaceae, and some genera of the Polygonaceae family.
Maximum efficacy is achieved when applied in early stages of weed development: for annuals — 2-4 leaves; for perennials, root-seeding — from rosette stage to plant height of 10-15 cm. In cases of high weed infestation by docks and mustard at plant heights exceeding 15 cm, the maximum rate of the product should be applied.
Time before people can return to treated areas for mechanized work — 3 days; for manual work — 7 days.
Maximum number of applications — 1.
Mode of action
Penetrates plants through leaves and roots, accumulating in meristematic tissues. The active ingredient, cloquaril, belongs to the synthetic auxin class, which causes irreversible hormonal regulation disruptions in plants. The herbicidal effect manifests as thickening, bending, and twisting of stems and shoots, leaf wrinkling, formation of growths and cracks on stems, and plant death. Growth of sensitive plants is halted within several hours; first signs of herbicidal effect appear within 5-10 days; complete death occurs within 15-25 days. Efficacy depends on weed species composition and development stage, crop density, and weather conditions during spraying.
Spectrum of activity
Annual dicotyledonous weeds: Ambrosia arborescens, field vetch, leafless chamomile, medicinal chamomile, perforated chamomile, leafless chamomile, black nightshade.
Perennial weeds: Field dock (yellow), field bindweed, Tatary lettuce (milkweed).
Biennial weeds: Blue violet.
Annual winter weeds: Field bindweed, field pepperwort, field chickweed, common ragwort, rough burnet.
Compatibility with other products
The herbicide is compatible with most pesticides in tank mixtures. However, compatibility should be checked for each specific case.
WHO Classification: Class III (moderately hazardous).
