Description Legion
Rapid weed control!
Advantages of Legion:
— high speed of action — quick visual effect;
— kills the root system of weeds, preventing regrowth;
— broad spectrum of activity;
— can be applied regardless of crop stage;
— low application rates.
Use: systemic herbicide against grassy weeds on sugar beet, soybean, sunflower, and flax crops.
Active ingredient: clethodim, 240 g/l.
Formulation: concentrate emulsion.
Mode of action: Legion rapidly penetrates weed plants through leaves and stems, actively moves within them, and concentrates at growth points. In sensitive species, it binds to the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, blocking lipid synthesis, which leads to growth cessation and death.
Herbicidal activity spectrum: Legion suppresses nearly all annual grassy weeds, including self-seeding cereals and corn, as well as perennial grasses, including creeping bentgrass, broadleaf crabgrass, and others.
Speed of action: within 1–2 days after application — cessation of weed growth; within 3–7 days — browning of growth points, leaf chlorosis; within 7–12 days — complete death; within 12–20 days — root death.
Symptoms of action: browning and death of internode growth points, leaves turn chlorotic, orange, red, or purplish.
Application timing: Annual grassy weeds are treated at the 2–6 leaf stage, regardless of crop development phase. Perennial grasses, including creeping bentgrass, are sprayed when weed height reaches 10–20 cm, regardless of crop development phase.
Application technology: Legion must be used only in combination with adjuvant Helper at a 1:3 ratio. Minimum application rates are used during optimal weed growth stages. Maximum rates are applied when weed density is high (over 300 plants/m²) or on overgrown weeds. In case of two weed emergence waves, split application is possible with minimum rate of 0.2 l/ha.
Compatibility with other products: On sugar beet, Legion works excellently in mixtures with broadleaf herbicides Bifor, Bifor Progress, Agron Grand, etc., as well as insecticides.
Preparation of working solution: Fill the sprayer tank with 1/3 water, add the required amount of Legion while continuously stirring, then add the required amount of Helper along with the remaining water. Helper must be added last to the sprayer tank!
Working solution dosage: 200–300 l/ha.
Packaging: 5 L can.
