Description Gyurza
Formulation for preparation

75% wettable powder.

Active ingredient characteristics

Methyl tribenuron. Herbicide for controlling broadleaf weeds in wheat and barley crops.

Mode of action of the product

The herbicide Gyurza is most effective when applied to young, actively growing weeds and may be used on cereal crops from the 2-leaf stage up to the flag leaf stage (according to the diagram).

Since absorption of Gyurza herbicide by weeds occurs primarily through the leaves, thorough spraying with the spray solution is necessary to ensure high efficacy in weed control. Using registered surfactants at the recommended application rates will enhance the effectiveness against weeds. Pre-harvest interval — 45 days after the last application of Gyurza.

Since Gyurza herbicide has very low soil activity, it can control only those weeds that have emerged above the soil surface; therefore, it should be applied when all or most of the weeds have germinated. Broadleaf weeds should be treated after the seedling stage and not later than 10 cm height.

The herbicide rapidly stops the growth of susceptible weeds, which no longer compete with cereal crops for nutrients and water.

However, visible symptoms of weed death, primarily bleaching, appear only 1-3 weeks after application and depend on environmental conditions and weed susceptibility. Under warm, humid weather, these symptoms appear faster, while under cold and dry weather, they appear more slowly.

Application rates

For controlling listed weeds, 20 g/ha of the product is required; for partially controlled weeds, 30 g/ha is required. Working solution volume — 200-400 L/ha. To ensure uniform dissolution of Gyurza in the working solution, always add Gyurza to water; never add it to an empty tank.

Mixtures

A tank mix of 15 g/ha Gyurza herbicide for the weeds listed under 'Controlled weeds' or 20 g/ha Gyurza herbicide for the weeds listed under 'Partially controlled weeds', with 0.75 L/ha of 40% 2,4-D amine salt or 1.75 L/ha of 2,4-D. Always fill the tank first with Gyurza herbicide, mix thoroughly, then add 2,4-D or 2,4-D. Using surfactants at the recommended application rates will enhance the mixture's effectiveness against weeds.
