Derby 175 SC, e.c. — systemic post-emergence herbicide for the protection of cereal crops from dicotyledonous weeds.
0.5 l.
— One of the widest ranges of application periods among known herbicides on cereals due to exceptional selectivity for crops. On cereal grasses, Derby 175 SC can be applied from first tillering to second internode formation;
— Is a standard of efficiency in controlling cleavers, providing control of the weed at stages above 5 inflorescences;
— In maximum application rates, it provides high efficiency on overgrown susceptible weeds when used during the culture tube stage;
— Has a strong herbicidal action on weeds resistant to herbicides from the sulfonylurea class;
— Does not have any aftereffect and can be used regardless of crop rotation; does not have phytotoxicity for cultivated plants;
— Recommended for joint use with grass killers (Axial 045 EC, e.c.) when weed development phases coincide;
— Is a good partner for tank mixes with preparations from various chemical classes and groups, as well as fertilizers.
Purpose: Derby 175 SC is a selective herbicide of systemic action to control annual (including cleavers, types of daisies), as well as some perennial dicotyledonous weeds in cereal crops.
Derby 175 SC — a systemic-action herbicide containing two active substances with the same mechanism of action. Derby 175 SC is a mixture of two active substances, inhibitors of acetolactate synthase (ALS), belonging to herbicides from group 1,5-C triazolopyrimidine sulfonanilides. The combination of these two different molecules provides very high levels of herbicidal activity against susceptible weeds, including some that are resistant to the action of 2,4-D (such as cleavers, chamomile, field scabious, intermediate starwort, corn buttercup, etc.).
Compatibility with other pesticides: Compatible with herbicides based on isopyroton, chlortoluron, clodinafop-propargyl, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl, and diclofop-methyl. The product can also be used in combination with fungicides and insecticides. However, in each specific case, especially when applied together with micronutrients, it is recommended to check the physical miscibility of the preparations using a small container before preparing the working solution.
Possibility of varying crops in crop rotation: Since both active substances contained in the herbicide Derby 175 SC are subject to microbiological half-decay in soil, the herbicide is safe for subsequent crops in the seveooborot.
Period of protective action: Controls only those plants of sensitive weed species whose seedlings have been directly treated with the product. The period of protective action of the drug is until the end of the crop vegetation.
Speed of effect: Growth of plants of susceptible weed species stops within a day after penetration of the substance through the leaf surface of plants. The first visible symptoms of the action of the product appear 7-10 days after spraying. Final death of sensitive weeds occurs 2-3 weeks after treatment, depending on the species composition, development phase of weed plants, degree of infestation, as well as climatic conditions before, during and after spraying.
Rainfall that falls within 2 hours after application does not reduce the effectiveness of the product.
Application technology: The optimal temperature for applying the product is in the range from +8 to +25°C. In these conditions, plants develop normally, which in turn promotes active penetration of the substance through the leaf surface and its movement to the growth points of plants. Plants of susceptible weed species that are at the stage of active growth in the phase from 2 to 8 true leaves are most sensitive to the action of the product. In case of application of the product in later stages of development and for the destruction of more developed weeds, as well as in very sparse plantings, under unfavorable weather conditions before and after spraying, it is necessary to apply the highest registered hectare rate of the product. To achieve maximum efficiency of the product, it must be applied using well-adjusted equipment. The consumption rate of the working solution during ground spraying is 150-400 l/ha. It is recommended to use slit sprayers with a medium liquid spray.
Scope of action:
— High sensitivity (more than 90%): field adonis, common ragweed, large ammi, cornflowers, wild vetch, field sow-thistle, climbing corkscrew vine, Sofi's snakeweed, field honesty, intermediate starwort (moukritsa), self-sown poppy, field chickweeds, black nightshade, shepherd's purse, cleavers, field vole, wild radish, daisies (species), self-seeded sunflower, white hoary cress, bird's trefoil, and others.
— Medium sensitivity (70-90%): rough bindweed, herb Robert, nettle, common dandelion, pink dandelion, ordinary field chickweed, corn buttercup, etc.
— Low sensitivity (<70%): veronica (species), buttercups and others.
The product does not act on cereal weeds.
Warning! Do not carry out treatments with the product if frosts are expected! Do not apply the product to cereals sown with clover, alfalfa and other legumes!
Phytotoxicity: When using the product in strict accordance with the recommendations developed by the company, there is no risk of phytotoxicity.
Possibility of resistance development: No if the developed firm's recommendations are strictly observed.
Storage of the product: Store in accordance with existing legislation in a dry, well-ventilated place specially designed for this purpose, in undamaged packaging from the manufacturer. The storage temperature is not lower than -5°C and not higher than +40°С.
