Stefuron — Selective post-emergence herbicide for controlling annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds on winter wheat crops.
Formulation: water-soluble granules
Active ingredient: tribenuron-methyl (750 g/kg)
Mode of action:
Has systemic action, absorbed by leaves, inhibits acetolactate synthase enzyme, leading to rapid cessation of cell division and consequently growth of sensitive weeds.
Application guidelines:
Warm and humid weather increases herbicide efficacy, while cool and dry weather slows it down.
Do not apply on hot days with strong sunlight or risk of nighttime frosts, or on diseased or weakened crops. Stefuron can be applied at +5°C, optimal application temperature is +15°C to +25°C. Spraying is recommended using ground equipment in early morning (before 10) and evening (after 18) hours under minimal wind conditions. Wind speed during fine spray should not exceed 3 m/s, during coarse spray — 4 m/s.
Do not spray if rain is expected within the next 3 hours, and avoid spraying on wet plants from rain or dew.
Spraying should be conducted from the 2-3 true leaf stage of the crop until the flag leaf stage inclusive. Maximum efficacy is achieved during weed active growth, particularly when applied at early stages of annual weeds and well-developed perennial weeds (e.g., purple loosestrife — rosette stage).
Working solution rate:
100 — 300 L/ha.
Application notes:
Mandatory use with PAR Ripa;
Can be mixed with herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and fertilizers.
Advantages:
Low application rates;
Does not affect subsequent crop rotation;
No phytotoxicity;
Broad spectrum of action against dicotyledonous weeds;
Low cost per hectare.
