Advantages
high efficiency against the most harmful broadleaf weeds — couch grass, oats, barnyard grass, crabgrass, etc.;
emulsifiable concentrate formulation ensures significant improvement in herbicide absorption;
active substance particles in the oil emulsion are in a finely dispersed state, ensuring the best stability and homogeneity of the spray solution, which promotes deep penetration of the product;
kills weeds along with their root system;
compatibility in tank mixes with other herbicides;
application can be performed regardless of crop growth stage;
no crop rotation restrictions.
Formulation
Emulsifiable concentrate containing 60 g/l of quizalofop-P-ethyl
Mode of Action
Emulsifiable concentrate significantly improves herbicide uptake by weeds. The oil acts as a carrier for the active ingredient through the waxy leaf layer and facilitates rapid and easy penetration of the product into deep weed tissues. Active substance particles in the oil emulsion are in a finely dispersed state, ensuring the best stability and homogeneity of the spray solution, which also promotes deep penetration of the product. Upon contact with weeds, the oil emulsion evenly distributes, forming a film on the leaf surface that prevents evaporation and wash-off of the product. Thus, the herbicidal activity of the product is prolonged and independent of weather conditions. With high systemic activity, the active ingredient quickly translocates to root and shoot growth points, killing weeds along with their root system and preventing regrowth. Thus, Forward, EC shows maximum efficiency under any weather conditions, providing the highest level of weed control.
Protective Period
Provides protection of crops from weeds throughout the entire vegetation period. The product is absorbed by leaves and translocated to shoot and root growth points, exerting herbicidal action on sensitive weeds present at the time of spraying.
Speed of Action
Weed growth stops immediately after treatment. First signs of action appear within 7-10 days, weed death — within 2-3 weeks.
Spectrum of Controlled Weeds
Annual grasses — quackgrass, wild oats, common oats, barnyard grass, canary grass, green foxtail, purple foxtail, red clover, crabgrass, annual ryegrass;
Perennial grasses — creeping couch grass, palmate crabgrass, goosegrass, white clover, common ryegrass, bristly grass, common reed.
Compatibility
Herbicide can be used in tank mixtures with betarane group products (Betaren FD-11, Betaren Express AM, Betaren Super MD) on sugar beet crops, with clopirdine-based products (Lornet) on sugar beet crops, with approved herbicides for broadleaf weeds on soybean and flax crops. In each case, preliminary physical-chemical compatibility testing of the mixed components is recommended.
Possibility of Resistance Development
No cases of resistance to the product have been identified.
Application Technology. Preparation of Working Solution
Prepare the working solution immediately before application. Carefully mix the product in factory packaging and measure the amount required for one tank filling. Then prepare the working solution as follows. Pour the measured amount of the product into the sprayer tank, which is half-filled with water. Add water to the sprayer tank while continuously mixing the working solution with a hydraulic mixer.
Preparation of the working solution and tank filling should be conducted on special areas, which are later subjected to decontamination.
For application, use ground boom sprayers of the «Amazon», OPSh-15, OP-2001, and other models.
Optimal Results and Maximum Speed of Herbicidal Action
when spraying actively growing weeds. It is important that they have sufficient leaf area for rapid absorption of the active ingredient. Application is not recommended during crop stress due to frost, wind, insect damage, nutrient deficiency, or previously applied herbicides.
Phytotoxicity
Not phytotoxic to most broadleaf crops, but kills annual and perennial grass weeds, including creeping couch grass.
Recommendations for Protection of Beneficial Flora and Fauna
The product is low-risk to bees and fish — 3rd hazard class.
Compliance with the main provisions of the «Instructions for Preventing Bee Poisoning by Pesticides» and the following ecological regulations:
conduct spraying when wind speed is up to 4-5 m/sec;
